Read your Literature text Village by the Sea carefully. Then do the following assignment.

Imagine you are Hari. You have been in Bombay for some time now and will be returning to Thul soon. Write a letter to Lila, explaining to her the following:
a) reasons why you ran away to Bombay
b) your life in Bombay
c) the lessons you learnt there
d) your plans for the future.

You should write about 250-300 words. You are advised to spend 1 hour on the assignment.
Submission:
Submit one copy of your assignment to your 2008 English Language teacher and one copy to your 2008 Literature teacher by Friday Week 1, Term 1 2008.
Your English language teacher will mark it as an informal letter (Task Fulfillment-10m, Language-20m, Total- 30m).
Your Literature teacher will mark it for content, 15 marks. Both marks will be included as assessment for Term 1 2008.

Hello dearest Justicians!

ok. erm. i really dunno whu posted the post on bio. but anyway. for science end of year hw, you all have to refer to sec 1, 2 , and 3 work.

Physics - Sec 1 work on forces etc etc
Chem - Sec 3 atomic structure
Bio - sec 2 ecology

for physics, you can load the worksheet from edulearn, print out and do, then hand in to ur teacher when sch reopens in jan. refer to ur sec 1 notes and textbook if you need help.

then erm for chem, you must go under Chemistry - course and select sec 3 chemistry. from there, listen to the course on atomic structure. a person will be talking so you have to on ur speakers ((:

lastly for bio, a bio worksheet was given out on the last day of school in the hall, when Mrs cheong was doing the environment thingy. i have one extra copy with me. so i think the person who posted abt the bio thingy din receive. as for bio, you al have to refer to ur sec 2 textbook at the chapter ecology. and i think it will be tested during common test slot on the first week of school.

so must study ok! jiayou everyone!

hello

its been a long time since i posted here ):
perhaps a little too late... hmmm

well although i probably am sentimental and emotional, i duno how to phrase my thoughts into words. haha. this is stupid. and i am the so called english rep.

its been a long long long, yet pretty short year for all of us. i guess its been a real eye opener for me being in 1j cos normally i am really really stupid coming frm a neighbourhood sch and i've never in my whole life met so many clever, funny, rich etc etc people before. like zhanglaoshi said, its fate that we're all in the same class. oh how cliche.

i won't say that this has been a great year, neither can i say the times i spent in 1j is always smooth and happy. most of the times i feel that 1j is pretty too much competitive and i always feel so inferior in 1j. yes, how saddening. 1j is simply too smart and guai, maybe this is why i feel that i don't belong. but perhaps its just becos of my own perspective coming frm a different environment. this year has been tough, but i thank all for being there with me all the way.

on a brighter note, being in 1j sure does motivate me to work hard sometimes, seeing that i have to keep up with the rest of you. (:

i'm sorry for all those i've caused hurt or saddness to, esp with my cold attitude and harsh words. i hope that no one will take offence. or times when i have been demanding or unreasonable esp when doing pws or collecting eng hw.

and thanks lih maan for the video. i am shocked by the many horrible and unglam pics of mine that somehow found its way inside :O

although it has nt always been happy, its been great and memorable being your english rep, and being in 1j with all of you together throughout the year.

I am back, and I'm wondering about the Biology homework.

The homework states

Biology: topic on ecology (to be tested on 1st week of next year)

And that it is 2 hours and it is a hardcopy. Did you all receive any notes/worksheets regarding this topic? And the homework list also states that it is 2 hours. Did you all have to do any homework or something? I'm seriously at a lost, and I really hope someone can be so kind and answer my query on my tagboard. And I didn't receive any hardcopy stuff, so I'm really hoping that you all can be so NICE to tell me kaes? :D :D :D

Haha, well, let's be "sentimental" now. Haha, Thanks 1J for being such a great class and helping me whenever I had any problems or difficulties with my homework/projects! :) Without your help and guidance, I probably wouldn't have come so far, and broken down half way, something like last year. As this year comes to a close, I really hope that we can still see each other next year, an remain friends forever :D - and I mean Jess too! =)
